Madelyn was working on a puzzle and singing to herself when she asked:

"How does 'The Berry Sesames' go again?"

Earlier today in the car, one of the songs we listened to was "The Bare Necessities" from "The Jungle Book".

Madelyn: Mommy, what are we having for dinner?
Me: Chicken nuggets, corn on the cob, and whatever veggie you want.
Madelyn: But we just had chicken nuggets!
Me: About a week and a half to two weeks ago.
Madelyn: Yeah, we just had chicken nuggets!

This is from the girl who would eat pancakes every night for dinner if we let her. We actually ended up having rotisserie chicken instead because I didn't really want the chicken nuggets either.

While we were out for a walk, we approached were the street we were on dead-ended in a T with another road.

Madelyn: Oh no! There's a street crack ahead!
Tony and me: What?
Madelyn, pointing: There's a street crack!
Me: Do you mean that there's another street?
Madelyn, matter-of-factly: Yeah, I call that a "street crack".

While getting ready for bed, Madelyn decided that her room was the North Mountain and that it was getting really snowy and cold. (Oh, Frozen, how I am sick of you.) I was able to use it, though, to make her get into her pajamas faster.

Me: You better get your warm snow clothes on quickly and get warm!
Madelyn quickly put on her pajama shirt, shorts, and slippers and got ready to go brush her teeth: I'm all nice and warm now in my snow jacket, snow shorts, and snow boots!

Madelyn was playing with three colored blocks. Two of them were dancing around. She asked us:

"Do wedding people dance?"

First, we had to figure out what exactly she asked because Tony and I both heard combinations of "white people", "black people", and "red people". Then, we had to figure out what she meant by it.

Us: Yes, the bride and groom dance at the reception.

A while ago, Madelyn had asked me what rhymes with "orange." I told her nothing and that it's the only word in the English language that doesn't have a rhyme. Randomly today:

"The only thing that rhymes with 'orange' is 'more-orange.'"

(However, looking it up now, I see that that is incorrect. I will have to tell her what rhymes with "orange": Blorenge (a mountain in Wales) and sporange (a sac where spores are made).)

On the way to the grocery store Madelyn was asking us what slugs eat.

"The only way slugs can get blueberries is to call for their friends to give them a boost. A boost is a kind of lift that your friends give you to help you up."
