Madelyn brought home a paper today about spirit days next week at school for Read Across America Week. Friday they are supposed to dress as their favorite book character, and they will be reading The Cat in the Hat.
Me: So, what book character do you want to dress up as?
Madelyn: The Cat in the Hat!
Me: Really? That's your favorite book character? Or are you saying that because his picture is right there?
Madelyn: I like the Cat in the Hat.
Me: What about Hermione or Harry Potter or Knuffle Bunny or Elephant or Piggie?
Madelyn: I like all of those! I know! I'll dress as the Cat in the Hat, Harry, and Knuffle Bunny!
Me: How are you going to do that?
Madelyn: I wear the Cat in the Hat's hat, Harry's Hogwarts robes, and a bunny tail for Knuffle Bunny!
