Madelyn: When can I get married?
Me: When you are older and find someone you love that you want to spend the rest of your life with.
Madelyn: Caroline is older. Maybe I'll marry her.
Me: If that's what you really want to do and you both agree, you can do that.
Madelyn: No, I need to marry a boy.... Ethan is a boy!
Me: You can marry Ethan if you want. What about Preston?
Madelyn: I'll marry Preston when he's younger.
Me: Okay then. What about Diego? (Side note: Diego is boy in her class who gave her a picture and we started teasing that Diego is her boyfriend.)
Madelyn: Maybe. Or Javi! Who will Kishi marry?
Me: I don't know. Whoever she wants. She has a long time to decide.
Madelyn: She can marry Diego.
