Before going over to play with our neighbors:
Madelyn: Since I haven't had any screen time today, I'm going to play with Mei Mei and Lina's Leap Frog when I'm over there.
Me: No, you're not. If you're going over there, you're going over to play with them.
Madelyn: Why can't I?
Me: Because you're going over there to play with them, not their stuff and ignore them.
We picked Madelyn up on our way to the women's basketball game. As she was getting into the car:
Madelyn, excitedly: Mommy, I didn't play with their Leap Frog!
Me: That's good.
Madelyn: Instead, we played with a robot dog, but it wouldn't do what we wanted it to do. We were trying to get it to pee.
