Somehow during dinner conversation, the word "overflow" was used. Madelyn asked what it meant, so we were giving examples to explain it.
Me: If you were to close the drain on the bathtub and turn the water on and not stop it, the water would spill out of the bathtub. The water would overflow.
Tony: The water would flow over the top of the bathtub.
Me: But don't do that because it would make a big mess.
Tony: And you would have to clean it up.
Madelyn: If the bathtub were alive it should be the one doing the cleaning.
