For the past few months as her G.G.'s (my grandma) health has declined, we have been discussing getting old and death with Madelyn to try to help prepare her for when the inevitable does happen. On Saturday, G.G. went into the hospital again, and we don't know what is going to happen this time. So, the subject has come up again to try to help Madelyn understand.
During dinner, Madelyn was asking us more questions about death and Heaven.
Madelyn: What do you do in Heaven?
Me: Well, since no one has really come back from Heaven to tell us, no one really knows, but you can probably do whatever you want. (She had already asked us why no one comes back from Heaven.)
Madelyn: You mean you don't have to listen to God?!
