A couple days ago, Madelyn brought home drawing of bugs she did in school. The only bug she drew that she hadn't seen in real life was a Daddy Long Legs. I promised that when I saw one outside, I would let her know. While weeding the garden this evening, I saw one crawling in the trashcan.
Me: Madelyn, there's a Daddy Long Legs in the trashcan.
Madelyn, looking: Ooh! Where?
Me: On the side.
Madelyn: It has long legs like a spider!
Me: Well, it is a spider.
Madelyn: Really?
