One of the smoke detectors kept chirping even though Tony had changed the battery that morning. I hadn't gotten around to trying another battery in it. It was bothering the girls, who were playing loudly, though. After it chirped again, Madelyn exclaimed, "Seriously? Why doesn't it know how to be quiet?"
