Madelyn and I were talking about her teeth and what it would be like if she eventually needs braces. I told her that it would hurt for a day or two after an appointment and that she would probably want to eat soft food.
Me: You could have mashed potatoes, or soup, or pasta.
Madelyn: Pasta in soup?
Me: Like Spaghetti-O's. Those are really soft and mushy. Do you remember trying those?
Madelyn: Um, no. But, I think I'd like alphabet soup.
Me: It's just O-shaped pasta in tomato soup, but the pasta is really soft. It comes in a can.
Madelyn: Ew! And then it has to sit in there until we eat it?!
Me: Haha, well, you didn't like it the one time you had it.
